Welcome to Searchlight. A survey through scripture with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a

systematic study of the entire Bible chapter by chapter book by book.

Are your prayers to God passionate and fervent or are they mundane and routine?

The difference is very important. We began seeing this on our last

program from a story in Joshua chapter 8. In this story we saw that Joshua acted two

different ways in his battles against AI.

In the first battle there was a lack of passion and Israel was soundly defeated by AI.

The second time Israel engaged in battle with AI, Joshua was passionate in his prayer

to God and Israel had a complete victory.

Pastor John will continue this teaching today as we see how this story has important

personal application to us and our passion toward the Lord. Here now is

Pastor John. Joshua now in our text today remembers,

that's right, I didn't pray, I need to pray,

and like my mentor, the law giver, Moses.
