| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to the podcast of the Lotus Eaters for the 17th of February 2025. I am joined by Bo and I have the pleasure to introduce Henry Bolton and now I have quite an extensive number of things to say here. So you've had an extensive political career including becoming leader of UKIP and you recently became a member of the |
| 0:22.5 | SDP. You had a long career in the army didn't you? |
| 0:29.5 | You're a former police officer, you're an author and you've also been appointed an officer |
| 0:35.9 | of the Order of the British Empire and I probably missed out some things there as well. |
| 0:39.3 | We'll be going through the entire podcast schedule, listing off all the things. |
| 0:46.3 | But it's very nice to have you here today. |

| 1:34.3 | And so I may as well get on with it. |
| 1:37.3 | So I'm going to be talking today about what it amounts to a large degree of judicial activism I feel as well as some general |
| 1:48.6 | things that I see as a form of tyranny from other branches of the state and I'm |
| 1:54.6 | going to start off right away with this one and this I thought was just beyond parody. |
| 2:03.1 | It's a form of satire in a different age and a better time that a failed asylum seeker |
| 2:08.4 | can stay in the UK because she joined a terror group rather than, you know, she has her |
| 2:14.6 | asylum claim rejected because of this. Does that make any sense? |
| 2:18.3 | So I'll tell you all about it. |
