Hey everyone, this is David and Heidi here. And before we get into this week's episode, we wanted to tell you about our good friends over at CLT, because they're making this episode possible. How do you know CLT, right?

serve the student, not just the administration of a university. And in doing that, they're

able to actually connect the right students with the right universities,

and it ends up serving the whole system much better than just a disconnected test that's

interested in profit. So I'm really, I'm proud to be involved and highly recommend

CLT for parents who are looking for an alternative to the SAT, ACT, ACT, kind of big business standardized test model.

Yeah, so what they do is they offer, as you said,

standardized tests for grades three through 12.

So not only is the ACT and the SAT, the college prep test,

they get you in the doors of the universities,

but they also have alternatives to things like the Iowa tests and then the PSAT

and all that. So as the kids are getting older and they have to take these tests, this is giving

you an alternative to the tests that basically you're doing just to play the game, if that's you.

So these tests can be taken online and they offer a better just kind of overall testing experience.

It's a shorter testing time. They have an

emphasis on critical thinking skills. And then it includes the reading of meaningful passages from

classic and historical literature, which is not something that you're going to find in the SAT or

the ACT very often. And if you're listening to this podcast, that's probably something that matters

to you. They also provide valuable academic feedback for parents and teachers.

And their goal is still in all of that to encourage a love of learning in students, whereas
