It is three minutes after 10. A very good morning indeed to you. Would you think less of me if I told

you that I don't quite get this? And that given that I have children myself in the very relevant

age range, then I really should get it. It's weird how some of the things that we talk about together feel very much part of my life.

The cogs have meshed.

I speak of things I know.

Or if I don't fully appreciate them, I take two calls and suddenly a whole world of understanding opens up in front of me.

And of all the subjects that really I should have a better grasp of, a better understanding

of, misogyny among schoolboys, misogyny in general and misogyny among schoolboys would

be one that I would presume, looking at this program from the outside, I had full understanding of.

I know exactly what misogyny is.

I don't obviously suffer from it, but I obviously know people who do in all of the most

imaginable and some of the less imaginable ways.

I have watched children grow up over the course of the last 20 years.

Tons of children, boys and girls. And I am aware of the influences that they face and the

access that they have to things that we didn't have access to as young children. Most obviously

pornography. Most obviously violent pornography in terms of

things that might be damaging, things that are likely to be corrupting, things that once seen can

never be unseen. And I can imagine like everybody else can. What impact that might have on young minds moving forward.

At risk of sounding a bit like Ali G, is it because I don't have sons? Is that why? Because it

shouldn't, it should be the other way. I don't know. Is it because I don't have sons that I don't

see what you see? And please God, and I hope that you can never know for

sure that if they did they would have told me I don't think my daughters have been on the
