We did one opening segment on the election last night

because it just had to get it off our chest. If you care, and I know you don't, just makes you all pissed off anyway, but you can go listen to it on the podcast. Other than that, I'm going to continue the sporty thing that we do here on this program on a consistent basis. And again, the tea leaves out in San Francisco, Garoppolo's on the outs. The reason why I'm not in on Jimmy Garapolo is my fear would be, instead of getting younger and more athletic, that Bill would be on a huge plot to try and prove that he can win with Jimmy Garapolo. He dumped a bunch of money on known commodities to try and prove a point and stick it to everyone else. Instead, I'd rather see them take a flyer on a chance with a guy like Josh Rosen down in Tampa. The kid's 23 years old and hasn't gotten a fair shape, no matter how you want to put it. Okay, Ryan, I thought your argument there was in favor of Garoppolo, like Murray, I want to bring you in on this.

You have to admit that Bill, who again is insecure and smarting from this year, if he wants to get right back on the horse, he wins with Garapolo.

That proves his whole point.

And he can even go back in history and say, see, don't you think Bill would do everything he could to fill every roster hole and make this team as strong and good as it could possibly be to prove himself with Jimmy Garapolo? Yeah, I think he was setting up to do that in the first place when he got it and traded for a guy like Brandon Cooks. I mean, Cooks to me felt like a guy for the future if he worked out and wasn't so soft.

That was a guy that was he was setting up for, you know, to be the number one receiver for Garoppolo long terms. That's the way I read it at the time. I mean, I think so too. I mean, I just think Bill would sell out to win, you know, with Garopolo. I do too. And look, as much as I think that he sucks and is fragile and will never win another Super Bowl or even sniff one, we'll get to a Super Bowl, rather. He's best served here.

Like, Bell, if anyone's going to rehabilitate this kid's career and make him look how he did when he flashed in those couple of games that he played here, it's Belichick. This is the best spot for him.

Even I can admit that. I'm not convinced that Bill would go completely haywire and just throw piles of money of people. I think he would. Oh, look, that's always the last thing down there. But he'd be aggressive to add to the team. He'd be aggressive to add to the team. I believe that. So that I'll give you. I worry about his ability to evaluate, though, now because everything that he's done over the last 20 years has been with the assumption that Brady's a quarterback.

I didn't say he'd hit, but he'd try. You know, he'd try. He wouldn't be, you know, he wouldn't be neglectful like he was this last offseason. I don't think so. He'd have a lot on the line if Garoppolo was back. You know, he'd have a lot on the line. And the thing that he's sort of fighting against now, he'd have a chance to prove it.
