But let's jump into this week's message called the problem with not dealing with your pain.

First Samuel chapter number nine, we are in a brand new series.

We started last Sunday called Rise and Fall,

rise and fall. And we're talking together about the potential that you could rise to great heights,

rise to great levels, rise to what God has called you to do, or you could fall, like the clippers,

you could fall, like the cowboys, you could fall. But it's called rise and fall, rise and fall.

And I want to just talk for the next few weeks about the potential that you could become who God

has called you to become,

you could rise to great levels all through the power of humility,

all through the ability to stay humble in your own eyes.

But remember, the Bible teaches us,

God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. So if you're prideful, if you deal with pride, God is, he is forced to humble you. But if you are humble God through his grace,

he will exalt you rather than you trying to exalt yourself. Somebody say amen. Amen. So that's our goal. That's our

desire. We're trying to humble ourselves. In other words, if we humble ourselves, God won't have to

humble us. So we want to humble ourselves in a humble way so that God, by his power, by his nature,
