I want to speak today on the subject of promises.

If you remain standing for just a few more seconds, I'm going to get to my text and I specifically

want to speak a message to anybody who feels that God's made you a promise and you're on

the outside of it looking at it.

I just feel like there's some people under the sound of my voice maybe in Columbia that

are standing outside of something they feel like God called them into.

I don't want to speak specifically to you today.

The main text we're going to jump into is going to be in First Chronicles 11 versus 1-5.

It says this, this is, all Israel came together to David at Hebron and said, you are our own

flesh and blood.

In the past, even while Saul was King, you were the one who led Israel on their military

campaigns.

And the Lord your God said to you, you will shepherd my people Israel and you will become

their ruler.

When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, he made a covenant with

them at Hebron before the Lord and they anointed David King over Israel as the Lord had promised

through Samuel.

David and all the Israelites marched to Jerusalem.
