A civilized suburban society is not going to start eating each other.

But an uncivilized Haitian society did start eating each other.

And so you have to say, otherwise it's a crazy thing, that a civilized American culture is at least in some way superior to the culture

where it's okay to eat a human being.

It has to be true.

Otherwise, it's insane.

And so, like, if we start there,

we admit that that culture is,

in some way,

eating people is bad.

Then there are things in cultures

that make some cultures superior to others.
