Summary

The historic impeachment saga might be over by the end of the week. Republicans are confident they have the votes to block witnesses, paving the way for an acquittal of President Trump. CNN senior writer Zach Wolf examines the latest developments - including Chief Justice John Robert's rejection of a question aimed at exposing the alleged whistleblower - with CNN national security reporter Jeremy Herb and CNN political commentator Amanda Carpenter. Herb explains that GOP Senator Lamar Alexander is the one remaining wildcard and Carpenter predicts that impeachment will lead to a "gutter ball" 2020 election. "The dirty tricks are coming," she warns. To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
