Summary

It felt like it was time to do a little bit of offloading and opening up in honesty about some of the last year and do it in a way that was vulnerable, unplanned and completely off the cusp (is it cusp or cuff? meh). With everything from looking back on healing, why support is best and the problematic behaviour I recognized, hiring help, sex, body grief and the burnout epidemic. I hope today’s episode inspires us to get honest with our emotions, recognize and be candid about burnout, get real about sex - or no sex and why motherhood is SO different this time around.

The following podcast is a deer media production. Before we get into today's show, I have to be just

0:05.7

excited for a hot second because the papaya box dropped yesterday, y'all. October 3rd, yes,

0:11.9

mean girl day. Not what we're being nice girls, right? Um, October 3rd, we dropped the third

0:18.4

papaya box. This box features one complete outfit that can be split three different ways to be used

0:25.3

thousands of different ways if you have the creativity around that. But essentially it is going to

0:30.3

be fall to winter staple items and things that are timeless in style. We didn't ever want to create

0:37.5

something that was not going to be worn and used by folks. So this is something that is just so

0:43.1

exciting. It includes this beautiful cream, beautiful bodysuit that has gorgeous lines that go

0:50.6

in this V shape down your body. It is a comfortable bodysuit. Y'all, I would never betray you on a

0:56.6

bodysuit. I know we've been burned. I will not do that to your vulva. It is a beautiful bodysuit.

1:03.2

And you know what, whether you pair it with a set of jeans or you wear it with a skirt or you can

1:09.2

wear it underneath piece two, which is the papaya slip dress. Now, when you see slip dresses out in

1:15.8

the world and you've tried one on, you're immediately feeling like you've been assaulted.

1:20.1

They are really, really not great in terms of how they sit on your body, cling to your body.

1:26.1

It's very vulnerable feeling for so many of us. And I was when we first started talking about

1:30.6

slip dress, I was like, Oh, heck no. Oh, heck no. Not happening. Been there. Done that change from

1:35.7

thing. Didn't feel great. And then, you know, we started talking and figured if we did the right

1:40.9

fabric and did the right cut, maybe with adjustable straps and a really bias line, I think that's

1:46.2

what's called bias line cut. It could really actually look good on all bodies. And so we've done it,

1:52.5

it goes up to a size four X. I'm so stoked about it. It is so beautiful. It wears so gorgeously.

1:58.9

You can throw a hoodie over it and wear it like a skirt with a pair of sneakers, which is

2:02.6

such a vibe right now. Or you can wear it with a chain belt at a Christmas party, holiday party.
