Summary

At 16, Katrina found out a shocking discovery - she was under the umbrella of “intersex”. Intersex is a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male (via Intersex Society of North America). Katrina’s discovery came with a wave of reality when it came to fertility, and searching for a community that was hard to find. With so much misunderstanding around Intersex, Katrina now shares her story to help others who may have be Intersex as well (around 2% of the population) not feel so alone.

1:15.1	So today we're going to sit down, we're going to have the conversation and not because
1:18.4	we're all going to take away something incredibly insightful and learn, but more so or sorry,
1:25.6	not because we are looking to sort of find a way to improve our own lives, but to have
1:30.4	an understanding of what so many people in the world actually experience and what that
1:34.2	might be like, how that relates yourself to your body, we're going to have conversations
1:39.2	that is much more taking away something that we maybe have never had the opportunity
