But first, Senate Democrats voted unanimously to block a package of six funding bills

that would fund large portions of the government until September, meaning we could

have a partial government shutdown.

The debate is going to be centered around Homeland Security, but ICE is funded in the one big

beautiful bill.

Alas, the Democrats are demanding an end to roving patrols, ensuring that federal agents are

held to the same use of force policies that apply to state and local law enforcement

and preventing agents

from wearing masks and requiring body cameras. Republicans need the support of at least seven

Democrats in the Senate to avert this shutdown. Steel production in the United States has

surpassed Japan's production for the first time in 26 years. We are now the world's third largest steel

producers, still ranking behind China and India. But our crude steel production was up 3.1% last

year to 82 million tons. It's the first rise in two years. We've got a bronze medal in steel

production, but we're going to win a lot of gold coming up next week. I'm very excited for the Olympics starting next week. Ninety-eight athletes

will be there for the first time. Seven are in their fifth appearance for Team USA.

84 members of Team USA are current or former NCAA athletes. That's 36% of the roster. And the

colleges that are most represented, Minnesota.
