But first, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer announcing his retirement, the liberal

judge, will step down when his term ends this summer.

The 83 year old was appointed by President Clinton in 1994.

President Biden will pick his replacement, of course, who will then need to be confirmed

by the Senate.

In the 2020 campaign, Mr. Biden promised to nominate a black woman to the court if a seat

became available, which he will do.

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi refusing to retire.

The soon to be 82 year old Democrat announcing yet another run for Congress.

Miss Pelosi was first elected to represent San Francisco 35 years ago.

To the Speaker quote, our democracy is at risk because of the assault on the truth, the

assault on the US Capitol and the state by state assault on voting rights.

The election is crucial.

Nothing less is at stake than our democracy.
