Second Trump administration and the president won a major victory today in the courts. The Supreme

Court decided to limit the ability of federal judges to temporarily block the president's order

restricting birthright citizenship nationwide. That means the proposal can likely move forward

in 30 days, at least partially in the states that challenged it, as well as those that did not.

In her dissent, Judge Sonia Sotomayor called the ruling, quote, a travesty for the rule of law

and an open invitation to bypass the Constitution. Almost immediately, several groups filed

class action lawsuits that could ultimately block the executive order nationwide before it can go
