So they say that since the players are on the clock, why don't the players just comply with

the ruling because I don't want, when I go into Nordstrom's, I don't want to see somebody

with a McCain or Obama campaign button on because they're on the clock.

But the problem with that analogy is, if you have a team name that is politicized and named after a racial slur for the indigenous people of this country,

you're already throwing politics in my face.

So let me break down the policy first for my audience and then ask you your thoughts.

The NFL's incoherent mess of an anthem policy now states that players must show a proper respect for the anthem on the field.

Refusal to do so will result in fines being levied against the team, and then teams then have the option of levying fines against players, which could be up to a month without salary

or it could get progressively worse. Players have the option of staying inside the locker room as a form of protest that nobody

sees if they like.
