On a Saturday night in September of 1989, then 19-year-old Valerie Stevens kissed her baby daughter

good night and stepped out of her Toronto apartment, planning to meet a friend for a night of dancing

at a downtown nightclub. But something seemed to have gone terribly wrong. It doesn't seem as though

Valerie made it to the club.

In fact, she was never seen again.

The mystery of what happened was only partially solved three years later

when hunters stumbled upon her remains nearly 100 kilometers away from where she was last seen.

Valerie's death was ruled to be a homicide, but the case was never solved and has since long gone cold.
