But in the meantime, I'm going to talk tonight about the betrayal and murder of Nina Riser.

Tell me all about it, please.

So on September 3rd, 2006, 31-year-old Nina Riser was living in Oakland, California.

Nina was scheduled to meet at her best friend

Ellen Doran's house for dinner at 6 p.m. When 6 p.m. came and went with no sign of Nina, Ellen

immediately became concerned because Nina was not the type of person to not show up for plans and not

call after the fact.

Nina Reiser was born Nina Sharonova in Russia in 1974, was the child of two physicians, and was extremely bright. She had studied to be an obstetrician and gynecologist. She was very well loved

and well known in the community and was known for her kindness, bright smile, and outgoing and helpful personality.

She had two children, seven-year-old Rory and five-year-old Nile, and was studying to become an obstetrician and a gynecologist in the United States,

and had signed up and paid for her test to make that happen.
