I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case turned into something much bigger than I anticipated.

Today I want to tell you the story of one of the dozens and dozens of young, healthy and happy young men

who seem to vanish from crowded bars only to be found the exact same way.

Joey LeBue was an even-keeled, mild-mannered mid-20-something-year-old with a sassy sense of humor.

His mother died from breast cancer when he was nine and he arguably held the family together.

His father told Columbus Alive that Joey handled it better than he did.

And maybe that experience is what sparked the unbreakable bond he seemed to have formed with everyone and his entire family.

He graduated college from Ohio State University, skipped the dumpster fire stage and went straight into the workforce by 26 he was already working for Morgan Stanley.

On Friday, March 4th, 2016, Joey went to Union Cafe in the short-north neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio to celebrate his cousin Kyle having recently come out as gay.

Kyle's then-wife was even a part of this celebration. That's the kind of family this was.

It was a happy and liberating time in Kyle's life and those who loved him were pumped to be able to celebrate this milestone with him.

According to Kyle, Joey was in a great mood in having a blast that night.

Columbus Alive reports that a little after midnight on the 5th, Kyle's wife Stacy started to feel a little under the weather so they decided to leave.

They had lost track of Joey but the bar was unusually crowded that week due to the Arnold Classic being in town so they just checked to Joey to let them know that they were headed home.

He didn't immediately respond which was a little out of character so one of their friends jumps in and starts texting Joey as well but like his cousin got no response.

Their first thought was that he might have just gone home or to a friend's house or maybe had just run into an old friend and lost track of time so they let it go and they had home.
