This is the fall line.

Eric Carter-Londine is a creator and host Consequences, a true crime podcast that covers cases in New Mexico, his home state.

But unlike most independent podcasters, he has an extremely personal connection to the research he does.

He's been inexorably tied to a homicide case since 1987, when his little brother, Jacob

was murdered. Jacob Laundeeneen was born on July 1, 1986, and died only nine months later in April of

1987. Though Jacob's autopsy showed clear signs of physical abuse, no one was ever charged with his death,

and his case was closed. Eric and his mother, both of whom would be victimized by Jacob's alleged

murderer, tried to pursue his case. Once they were in a safe situation, and Eric was older,

they gained access to case information that shocked them both. But instead of achieving

justice for Jacob, they ran into roadblock after roadblock, constructed by a complex system that

didn't have support available for Eric's mother. And time was not on their side. Decades later,

Eric is one of a growing number of family creators in the true
