Hey everyone and welcome back to Big Mad True Crime where we get Big Mad over True Crime.

I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case is out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Small talk sucks so let's dive in.

40 year old car now sledge and 33 year old Catherine Brown, more commonly known as Nell

and Kate, had been friends for over 10 years and yes they were just friends.

Kate was there for now, Nell was there for Kate, the two supported one another's relationships

like good friends do, seriously no romance there.

Nell was someone who had endless love pouring out of his heart 100% of the time.

He worked as a special education specialist between 2013 and 2018, volunteered at the

Applewood Center which is a nonprofit that provides mental health services to children

and adults and currently worked at Crescent Digital.

Time was never an issue for him, he had enough to go around for everyone who needed it from

him including his grandmother who he regularly helped care for and keep company when he

wasn't working and volunteering.

Kate was the life of the party and had one of those infectious laughs that made just

being around her a good time and while she loved hanging out with her friends she was

obsessed with her family especially her nieces and nephews who called her their TT.

She did struggle with addiction for a while but got sober in 2017 and never looked back.

On top of getting sober she also got on a health kick, she cleaned up her diet and started

exercising at the Rocky River Reservation just a mile down the road from her apartment.

Kate dropped 100 pounds and she had never felt better but on June 4th 2019 everything

would change.
