0:22.6	And it's safe to say each and every one of them knew Alfred Bellier and his wife, Deborah.

0:32.6	He was a fixture at community events and was as reliable as they come. But on Thanksgiving weekend in
0:39.0	2021, something completely unexpected happened. Alf had vanished. And days later, a hand-drawn
0:46.3	map would lead police to his body, which was found dismembered and in a garbage bin over 100

1:11.6	Good evening, thanks for being here. A week after he was reported missing, Cypress County Councilor Alfred Bellier was found dead on Friday and his wife has now been charged in his death.
1:22.6	A word RCMP say Deborah Ballier has been charged with second-degree murder and causing an indignity to a human body.
1:30.7	She is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
1:33.5	In a statement posted to Cyprus County's Facebook page,
1:37.6	brief Dad Hamilton says, quote,
1:39.5	I am incredibly shocked and saddened to learn of Elf's passing,
1:43.5	adding everyone that the county will miss his kind spirit and devotion to his work.
1:49.0	Ballier has served on the county's council since 2015.
