Hey folks, two quick things before we get going on today's episode.

One, I wanted to let you know that Daryl and I are going to be doing the draft for our

classic club team's knockout tournament on Wednesday.

That is the date we have scheduled.

We've got all 32 teams in place, which is to say we came up with 32 teams that we thought

should be in the

competition.

Most of them in the latter half of the 20th century, early part of the 21st century, it would be weird if it was the late part of the 21st century. But we're going to be doing that draft on Wednesday, and I think our plan is to sort of do it random style. We're going to have a randomizer picking the teams, and then we'll be announcing them on Twitter is the plan right now subject to change. But again, that's

Hello, Tate, hello, you call cats and kittens out there. Yes, indeed it is raining here. Does rain signify a curse necessarily, do you think? Probably not, but it was the most ominous thing I could think of on the fly to introduce the idea that we're going to be discussing curses. I don't know if it was raining literally cats and dogs or cats and kittens, as apparently you say, then maybe we could constitute as a curse.

Well, in TV and movies, they have the concept of pathetic fallacy,

whereby if something bad's going to happen, it starts raining and thundering.

So maybe that is the precursor to what we're going to discuss today,

which is of course, 420, which is what it is today. Happy 420 to you, the perfect day to discuss curses, I suppose. The very perfect day, and it's a day we all celebrate worldwide because it is Shea Given's birthday. He's 43 today, and he's a Newcastle legend, so that leads nicely into a topic maybe we should discuss off the top. There is another person who is famously born on 420. I'm glad you went Chey Given. Shea Given, a much friendlier person, I will say that much, because I've met Shea Given, he was quite nice. When Googling, I did find out the other guy who was born that day. Oh, boy. Yeah. Let's talk Newcastle, which is slightly more palatable.
