In this podcast, we’re going to talk about what I think is the most important white blood cell. There are numerous different white blood cells, but the T regulatory cell is the most important. This white blood cell is also called the T suppressor cell or Treg. 

What’s unique about this type of white blood cell is that it does the opposite of other white blood cells—it suppresses the immune system. In turn, this gives the immune system balance and prevents the immune system from overreacting. It also helps reduce mucus. 


T regulatory cells regulate self-tolerance. This means it helps prevent your immune system from attacking healthy cells. It allows your immune system to tell the difference between your own healthy cells and pathogenic cells. In turn, this helps with preventing autoimmune conditions, including:

• Inflammatory bowel disease

• Type-1 diabetes

• Asthma

• MS

• Rheumatoid Arthritis 

• Cytokine Storm
