Well, it just gets better and better as far as I'm concerned. Thank you.

I'm so thankful that I can share with you some thoughts tonight from the book of

Romans because I've been preaching from Romans now at my church for a little over a year. We've arrived at

chapter 3 verse 30 and And CJ was kind enough when he heard this was on my front burner to say yes

yes give us some give us some Romans. And so I want to try to pull some things together and I want to begin

with a kind of biographical narrative of how the book of Romans has functioned in my life.

And I want you young people to listen to this, even those who are six years old I don't know how how little they

are in this room but maybe that's a little small but tune in for right here at the

beginning because my pilgrimage with the book of Romans goes back that far

but I just feel I'd like to pray one more time before I start that so let's ask God's help.

Lord, as we move into Romans,

which is the greatest book that has ever been written in the history of the world. I pray that you would grant supernatural enabling to me to unfold the part of it that we'll focus on and I

pray for the extraordinary work that you did for Lydia in the book of acts when you open her heart to give heed to the gospel

and that perhaps there are some in the room who don't know the gospel.

It's never hit home in a life-changing way. And others, hundreds of others, thousands of others,

who love the gospel will be mightily strengthened in their devotion to the gospel, their

zeal to share the gospel, their glory and living out the

gospel, and their delight in the God of the gospel.

So Lord, let this not be done in vain.

I'm so thankful for the promise that as the

rain and the snow come down from heaven and water the earth causing it to

bring forth and sprout giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
