Hi, this is William Ramsey. Welcome to William Ramsey Investigates on tonight show. I have a very special guest. His name is Doug Kramer. He comes to us from the YouTube channel, Dazed and but not confused. So it's dazed, but not confused with a Z, C-O-N-F-U-Z-E-D.

And he's put up some excellent videos, very informative videos about his experiences in Scientology.

And he has a long story to tell a lot of very important information.

I haven't heard from other Scientology critics, but he has firsthand information as somebody who was in the

organization. So Doug, are you there? I am, William, and it's a pleasure to be here, and I'm really

excited to talk to you. I'm following you for a while, my friend. Cool, man. Well, I appreciate it.

You know, the reason I came across your videos is we were friends on Facebook,

and I had seen some of the videos, and then I started listening to them. I'm like, wow, this is really incredible first person information. So I'm delighted that

you're on the show. For people who don't know of you, can you talk a little bit about your

background and how you came to this decision to kind of put yourself out there and talk about Scientology?

Sure. It's a long story, but I'll try to do it succinctly. So when I was around 9 or 10, my dad getting into Scientology in a single day.

And basically what happened is he went away that day at work, my father, and he came back,

I understand now, hypnotized.

I don't know any other way to put it because he was a different person when he got back

this particular night around 10 years old.

Briefly, what happened is he saw an ad in the newspaper when he was at work that said Dianetics, learn how to communicate better.

He went down to the Ventura mission in California that morning, and he ended up having his ruin found, which means he was down there because he didn't really know how to communicate very

well with me or the rest of the family. He was kind of an introvert, a good guy but shy,

and that was his button, as they say in Scientology, or what was ruining it. So Scientology

is very good at getting to people's vulnerabilities.

They found my dad's vulnerability that day.

I don't know exactly what they sold him.
