What has happened since then has been in short a bit of a mess. The club claimed the clause that allowed

messy to leave it expired and the only way to depart is if someone paid 700 million

euros for his services. Local reports have since claimed that even the 700 million clauses out of date, leaving a legal

minefield of claim and counterclaim.
