listeners know that I interviewed Alex Morse who was running against

Richie Neal and incredibly corrupt Democrat the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee and takes money from

you know all the worst people and Alex Morris is great and he was running for

Congress he's the mayor of Holyoke, Massachusetts.

He lost, he lost the primary and it's very impressive that he did as well as he did, but

he stayed in the primary despite this fake sex scandal which you can hear about on my last

episode with Alex Morse and there's also a really great patron-only episode I

did with Liza Featherstone and Greg Goldberg about it. Anywho this is an interview I did with Owen Higgins,

who wrote about the story for the Intercept.

And it was done before the primary,

so we didn't know who was going to win but as you'll see

oh and make some predictions and you can see how they come out and we are just

incredibly proud of what we've built against the chairman of the Waves and Means

Committee we were able to raise

over 2 million dollars from tens of thousands of grassroots contributions around our country.

We were able to make over 1.1 million phone calls. I mean, just look at again the amount of money that was

spent by Congressman Neal and corporations over the last several weeks and

unfortunately that made a difference. What happened a few weeks ago made a

difference what happened with the influence of corporations

and millions of dollars made a difference?
