Some of you know, Tremel is a producer on the

Karen Hunter show, which airs on Sirius XM Urban View. And as she was preparing for one of my shows,

0:29.5

every week I do on Fridays, a KH what to watch, hashtag KH what to watch list. And I usually do a top five of the things that I'm watching and I'll talk about them. And you were referencing something that I might want to look into. What was it? It's a movie coming out and it's called Heretic. And I said to you, hey, what's the definition of heretic? And then I said Google is your friend because that's how I that is not what you said. Okay. I said, you know, just off the top of my head, when I think of heritage, I think of like a religious, somebody that's like almost like Antichrist or somebody like in the church, like a Catholic church who's against the Catholic church. When I think of heretic, that's what I think of. And that's not even exactly what you said. What did I say? You said, what's a heretic? And you said, you know, I think it's like an example might be a Satanist. Right. Somebody that worship Satan. I did say that. And my thinking was somewhere along the lines, not necessarily a Satanist, but a rebel. I was thinking, you know, someone who's just real crazy about what they

believe. All right. Before we get into it, what is the damn movie? Like, what is the movie and what is it

1:32.8

about? I have no idea. The name of the movie is Heretic and I love the English actor in there. What is

1:39.5

his name? Hugh Grant. Hugh Grant. You, you Grant. I like him. It looks spooky. Yeah. It looks scary. But for me now, there's just nothing but curiosity because I think that whatever we go into it with, I think that you go into it not really understanding what a heretic is. Because once we looked up the definition, I said, oh, I have to see this movie. And I don't do horror.

2:02.2

But I think that maybe the horror might not be horror as much as it is that our definition of heretic, because that's the name of it might be challenged.

2:12.7

Okay. Well, let me first say, I'm not going to go see this movie because the space that I'm in right now,

2:19.2

I need joy, puppies, rainbows, and I need yoga. I need moments of silence and peace reading.

2:26.5

I need nature. That's what I need right now. I need apple pie and hugs. That's what I need.

2:33.5

But the storyline of heritage, two young Mormon missionaries

2:37.4

are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical

2:43.5

Mr. Reed, becoming ensnared in his deadly and intense game of cat and mouse. Okay, yeah, that sounds

2:50.4

actually...

2:51.3

Not like horror, but what if it's just a movie about challenging their Mormon beliefs?

2:55.8

Oof, okay.

2:57.2

So you looked it up because I did tell you, well, look it up and tell me what the definition is.

3:02.7

Okay, so what is the actual definition of heretic?

3:05.8

It says that it's a person holding an opinion at odds with what is generally accepted.

3:11.4

And so I said to you, oh, so it's not necessarily a Satanist because Jesus was a heretic.

3:18.0

And then I clutch my pearls because something about that feels wrong.
