I think that that fraudulent fundrazy slush fund that Trump had was paying for people's lawyers. Well, New York Times went out this weekend and confirmed it.

They said that Trump's political organization and his allies have paid for or promised to finance the legal fees of more than a dozen witnesses called in the Congressional investigation on the attack in the Capitol.

And that raises not so much legal questions that's it's pretty, it's pretty lawful to pay for someone else's defense attorney.

What's not lawful is telling people you're fundraising for the candy cane kids and then correct spending it on your criminal friends lawyers fees.

So the money that he's raising through these bullshit emails and everything, they're subject to different laws than they would be if he had officially announced.
