It's the business from KCRW. I'm joined in the studio by

John Horn of the Los Angeles Times. Hello, John. Hello, Kim. So, John, we've seen a number of

comebacks lately, people who were sort of left for dead. And among them, I would have to say at the top of the list right now,

is one Tom Cruise, who went from being, you know, just regarded almost as a bizarre personality

and half, you know, drummed out of Mission Impossible Four to being this at the top of the box

office and the only bright spot really out there for the holiday season, the only truly bright spot.

No, the fourth Mission Impossible movie where Cruz is now, in fact, front and center has been a global phenomenon. It's over $400 million worldwide. Probably will get to $500 million.

It may become the highest grossing of all of them. And I think,

as you said, it's a amazing comeback for an actor who is not only behaving strangely kind of off

camera on talk shows, but also had made some kind of poor choices commercially with Valkyrie

and Night and Day. So this movie, I think, reestablishes him as probably in the right movie,

the top star in Hollywood right now outside of Will Smith, who hasn't made a movie in a very long time.
