Hi, Calvary. I can't be with you tonight, but I'm happy to welcome our guest speaker, Robert Furrow.

Now, Robert and I go way back. In fact, he served right here at Calvary. He was our first youth pastor

back in the early 80s. Then in 1985, he traveled to Tucson, Arizona, where he started Calvary Chapel of Tucson,

started much like this, a small Bible study that grew into a mega church in that area.

Along with his senior pastor role at Calvary, his teachings are featured on practical Christian living,

and that's both on radio and TV broadcast. So please join me in welcoming my friend,

Robert Furrow. Let me start by praying for you, and then we'll pray for our Bible study.

First of all, let me pray for you. Father, I want to lift up everyone who's in here. We come into this

place with hearts that are full of gratitude.

We are so blessed to be here. We're blessed that you move in our lives. Thank you for what you've done

and how you work in our lives. Lord, I also pray for those who are here who are struggling now.

In one way or another. If it's physical, we pray that you would touch and heal in the name of Jesus.

Lord, if there's marital issues that are here, you can do anything. Lord, you can help anyone who's

struggling in here. You can rescue any marriage. And we pray that you would touch and heal that

marriage now. Let there be a reconciliation.

I pray for those that may be struggling in different areas with maybe children or with parents.

Lord, help us in the struggling relationships that we have within our families.

And we pray as we turn to your word tonight that you'd bless us. Your word is, it's our authority.

It is inerrant in the things that it teaches.

It is alive. It is powerful. It is deep. It is meaningful. And we're so thankful that we can open up

our Bibles and turn to it and hear from you. And we thank you for this. In the name of Jesus, we pray.
