Summary

(00:00-27:45) – Query & Company opens on a Thursday with Jake Query, James Boyd, and producer Eddie Garrison highlighting all the recent sports betting stories. It all seemed to start with Tyrese Haliburton’s comments on Tuesday followed by Cleveland Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff stating he receives death threats from gamblers, and Shohei Ohtani’s best friend, and interpreter, stealing $4.5 million dollars and placing bets with an illegal bookkeeper. Additionally, they give away some of the final numbers for the numbers game!

(27:45-41:07) – Wilson Moore from the Omaha World-Herald joins the program to highlight the job Fred Hoiberg has done this season with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, shares the story of Keisei Tominaga, predicts which non-Purdue team can make a run in the NCAA Tournament, and shares what the keys for Nebraska will be to succeed in their first game against Texas A&M.

(41:07-43:50) – Hour one concludes with Jake informing people what numbers are left in the numbers game along with the prizes that are up for grabs.

(43:50-1:12:26) – The one o’clock hour starts with Jake, James, and Eddie giving away the final seven numbers for their numbers game. Once they give away those numbers, they discuss the very odd Shohei Ohtani situation is with the story changing.

(1:12:26-1:22:33) – Jake, James, and Eddie focus their conversation on the Indianapolis Colts with former safety Julian Blackmon visiting another team. James is surprised that the Colts haven’t resigned him yet and states that the secondary is the team’s biggest need right now.

(1:22:33-1:29:04) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake and James discussing the Colts tight end room because Jake feels like they just have a bunch of guys. James believes that Jelani Woods is the tight end that could be at the top of the depth chart.

(1:29:04-1:50:11) – Tony East from Sports Illustrated, Locked On Pacers, and Forbes Sports joins Query & Company following a dominant Pacers victory last night against the Pistons, why he’s encouraged with Tyrese Haliburton’s performance last night, the importance of Isaiah Jackson last night towards the outcome of the game against Detroit, and shares who he has winning the NCAA Tournament.

(1:50:11-2:04:50) – Jake and James shift their conversation back to the Indianapolis Colts with a focus on Chris Ballard. Jake has a theory that Ballard believes he is the smartest person in the room and wants to prove people wrong when everyone is saying he needs to address a certain position, but he doesn’t.

(2:00:08-2:08:15) – Today’s show ends with Jimmy calling into the show and sharing some bets for tonight from Las Vegas!
