We're in a fight right now for the future of Western civilization and for the preservation of free speech.

And I view all of my commentary work and all of my interests in the American political system through that lens.

We have to preserve Western civilization. We have to preserve Western civilization.

We have to preserve free speech.

And I think most issues and most politics comes down to those two fundamental issues.

I think it's good for audiences to have their bubbles popped.

I think it's all too easy in American political culture right now

to get yourself in a silo or in a bubble where only the

information that you want to hear that confirms your priors is what you see. And I think it's detrimental

to the average citizen to be stuck in a silo or a bubble like that. You can meet and hear Scott Jennings

Music We each carried a cross and that some of the students had made out of cheap wood and painted it.

And I wrote on it my name and my brother's name.

He was on internship that year, but it happened to be his birthday that the walkout occurred.

So then we each planted the crosses in the quadrangle at Concordia Seminary.

I went back and got mine later on.

That's a former student at Concordia Seminary St. Louis talking about a walkout of

seminary students and faculty on February 19th, 1974.
