A video found in an abandoned building tells the story of three film students,

Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams,

who embarked on an adventure travelling to a small town to document the story of the Blair Witch,

a local legend of missing children

and murder. Over many days, the students interviewed townsfolk, the police and university

professors to gather clues about the truth behind the legend. Their project takes a mysterious and deadly turn

when the students fail to return from their fact-finding mission,

never to be seen again.
