Summary

In November of 2000, a person named John Titor checked in on the Internet claiming to be an American military time traveler from the year 2036. He stayed on for nearly 4 months, answering questions and making sometimes vague, sometimes specific predictions about events that occurred between 2000 and 2036, including an American Civil War. a nuclear holocaust caused by war between the US and Russia., and major changes in our system of government. He also provided detailed explanations and sketches of how he was able to time travel.

In November of 2000, a man calling himself John Teeter, actually Time Traveler Zero,

got the Internet excited when he claimed to have come from the year 2036 to help save the world,

and stated that he had recently stopped in Rochester, Minnesota,

to pick up the only existing computer that could accomplish that, an IBM 5100. He posted that on a little-known Internet discussion board called the Time Travel Institute Forum.

"'Greetings,' he wrote. "'I am a time traveler from the year 2036. I'm on my way home after getting an IBM
