You know, have you ever thought about running for office or taking up a musical instrument,

trying out for local theater, writing a book? And if you thought about it but didn't follow through,

what is it that kept you from doing it? That's an introspective question.

You have to ask yourself, what resistance did you run into?

In the interest of full disclosure, I read off of an iPad at night.

Part of that is because I want to be a good husband and remain married,

and I don't want the light to keep my wife awake.

But there are, so I read it off an iPad, but there are two like real books, hardcover books that are on my bedside table.

One, as you can imagine, growing up with my parents and being married to my wife is the Bible.

The other is a book called Gates of Fire, which is my favorite book of all time.

It narrowly beats out crime and punishment, but if you're talking about crime and punishment,

you're talking about all-time classics. But I think Gates of Fire is up there as well. And interestingly enough,

as I was thinking about it this morning, you know, what does the Bible have to do with Gates of Fire?

Maybe not a lot, except, except there are stories in both of people who sort of ventured into something

knowing that they were not going to win as we define winning.
