the great, the fabulous, the fantastic Daniel Feinberg, the Hollywood Reporter's chief TV critic.

Oh, it goes, just getting prepared for Halloween.

What are you dressing up as, Chief? Oh, it goes. Just getting prepared for Halloween. What are you

dressing up as, Leslie? Uh, a skeleton, but, uh, more importantly, um, the bigger question is

if I'm going to wear that costume, actually out because we're going to the boy genius show

at the Hollywood full on Halloween. So I'm very excited. That does sound entertaining. Let's see.

How elaborate a skeleton costume do you have? It's a zip-up, so not very... It's like a onesie. Sounds very comfortable. And warm, which is what I'm hoping it is, so... We were just talking off air about how it's getting to be wintry in Los Angeles. It's not getting to be wintery in Los Angeles at all. It's not even really getting to be autumnal in Los Angeles. It's really pretty much the same as usual. I mean, I wore sweatpants last night instead of shorts because it was a little chilly out here in Burbank. But yeah, that was the first time in months. More importantly, the World Series is here, which is indication that the the long months of winter are

right around the corner so you've got the texas rangers playing the arizona diamondbacks not the

matchup i think anyone really expected to see especially at the start of the season should be a good

hopefully some good baseball coming up do you hear that sound leslie do you hear that sound that's the

sound of no one giving a shit because no one cares about the r and the Diamondbacks? That's the, well, there's that too, but I was going to say that's the sound of fives or tens or dozens of listeners hitting the 15 second forward button. So, yeah, that's it. We're not talking anymore about baseball because there's actually TV stuff. We should give a small apology for our absence last week. I don't want to give a big apology. It wasn't like we overpromised and underdelivered. We all tweeted the day before that owing to various circumstances we were taking last week off. But normally we like to give people a little bit of lead time. So, for example,

the week of Thanksgiving in November, we won't have a podcast. So that's a warning,

comfortably in advance on that one. Anyway, last week, no podcast. Things were a little slow,

and so we thought, okay, we're not going to force it. This week, things are also a tiny bit

slow, but we're totally going to force it. And then next week, our plan is actually, God forbid, to return to regular showrunner interviews.

Not pretending the world is the same, but maybe a little.

Yeah, I mean, trying desperately to not talk about the current state of the world,

but consider this talking about the state of the world.

I just, I can't bring myself to, yeah, it's just, it's very heavy. Everything, like, waves, arms and everything. Literally, everything is very heavy. With that in mind, we're going to try and spread some positivity here, except until we get to Critics Corner, which I hear is going to be, I don't know if angry Dan's going to make an appearance, but I know that there is a show that is very triggering
