Bud Elliot, back again for another episode of the Nolkast, Bud, we are getting ever so close

to that time of year and we've got a position preview series here on the horizon that will start shortly and look forward to jumping into that I guess this podcast will just be kind of a quick update on I mean not that we need to update you on ACC media days, but it was great for both of us to be able to attend that you went to big 10 I've been down in Tallahassee a lot

We got a bunch of different things to talk about here as we sit on the on the preface of a season and end of July.

Congratulations to all of you Florida State fans that made your way through the

depths of summer and yeah it's legitimately right around the corner.

I mean we're what four weeks away from I guess four weeks away as of today from playing

Georgia Tech in Dublin and from then the the blur that is the

college football season will be upon us and all life is all the better for it

so absolutely man it's great to see you in person there at

ACC got to see a fired up Jim Phillips. I found that interesting man so I haven't I haven't been able to go there was a time my life where I went to ACC and SEC media days I think every you know for five years straight or whatever and that was interesting

It's the first time I've been to ACC Media Days in three or four years.

And it's the first time I've ever seen Jim Phillips there as the conference commissioner and make that speech.

I, like on the just in and of that that

experience I wasn't blown away by his speech or thought that he was you know know, all that fiery or whatever else.

He certainly was very clear in some things and I do believe he had pivoted away from what the previous

model was of just reading off a, you know, a printout that he had that, I guess, aided him some.

You know, just because a guy doesn't like blow you away in person or whatever doesn't mean that he can't be a good

leader of an organization or whatever else but I don't can't think of too many people that I think are less

impressive at a podium than Jim Phillips just if I'm being perfectly honest with you so

That was my thought of the commissioner speech.

I think it says something that he has to have a teleprompter to give that level of speech,
