And the formula, as it were, felt mighty familiar. The Lakers fell behind big... only to dig themselves out of the hole... only to find themselves unable to close the deal in the final minutes. There were good second halves from Talen Horton-Tucker and Carmelo Anthony, along with a great first half from Dwight Howard, but Russell Westbrook was merely fine, and LeBron James was, frankly, pretty bad, which the Lakers simply couldn't afford.
