Summary

For the Lakers, the losses keep on coming. This time, it was against the Mavericks in Dallas, 128-110, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis sitting out with injuries. Russell Westbrook and Malik Monk put up some nice numbers, but the Lakers were throughly outclassed in terms of available talent. Mavs Point-Forward/Point God Luke Doncic predictably carved up L.A.'s defense, and it got out of control really fast. So where do the Lakers go from here, in terms of providing motivation as a team currently outside the play-in picture, with the odds increasingly against them? Well, there's the potential return of AD either Friday or Sunday - LeBron's ETA remains fuzzy - and he would provide a desperately needed lift.
