1:10.0 | As he hears a telltale sound of a moose trampling through the brush ahead, |
1:14.0 | Keish tears his eyes away from the water and listens carefully, moving toward his prey. |
1:19.0 | Then he lifts his gun and fires. |
1:22.0 | Keish hollers as he watches the moose fall to the ground. |
1:25.0 | He looks back to call out to his family members who were following him, but he finds himself alone in the waters. |
1:31.0 | As Keish waits for them to catch up, he looks back down into the water and a sudden thrill runs through him. |
1:37.0 | There, on the riverbed, he sees the familiar glint of gold, but a lot of it, more than he's ever seen before. |
1:44.0 | Keish pulls out a pan and gets to work, frantically collecting the metal. |
1:48.0 | And as his pan fills up, Keish is hit by the realization that he's about to become a very rich man. |
1:56.0 | Over the coming years, the story of Keish's discovery at Rabbit Creek will become shrouded in myth and controversy. |
