Hey, welcome to the Daily Drive. My name is Mike Bro, and we hang here Monday through Friday, just diving

into God's Word and pursuing him. And lately we've been

looking at some song lyrics that are found in the Bible in a book called the Book of Psalms.

Most are written by a guy named David, and the lyrics are so good. They're real, they're raw,

the poetic, they're beautiful, they're vulnerable, inspirational, engaging, and extremely

relevant. They are timeless

classics, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, and we've been downloading a few of those songs

into our hearts. Some of you all might be in a boating and might be doing some of that this summer,

and no matter whether you're on a lake or a river or out in the ocean, if you don't drop and set

anchor, drift

happens. Some of my Southern California surfing friends know that if you don't pay attention

while you're laying flat on your board, drift happens, and you can end up in places you just do

not want to be. And it's been my experience that we all have a tendency to drift in life.

We can drift in our purpose, in our passion, we can drift in our relationship with each

other in our intimacy with God.

And the thing about drifting is that it happens gradually.
