Juan Soto has been shuffling quite a bit for Team DR.

He's feeling it.

And that he's happier away from the Mets than he is with the Mets.

And that is the Juan Soto fake controversy.

I mean, it's not fake news, but it's probably a fake controversy.

Of course it's a fake controversy.

Let me tell you something.

Well, and it's also like not true. I'm going to explain this to everybody out there.

Last April and May, Juan Soto didn't shuffle a lot. It was a topic on sports talk radio and

social media. Why isn't he shuffling? My theory back then was not that he was miserable or he

misses Aaron Judge. It was that he doesn't feel like himself at the plate.

Eventually, when Juan Soto ended up putting together an MVP caliber season, you noticed in

the second half of the year, he shuffled more. I don't think he was shuffling more because

he liked the locker room more, or him and Francisco Lindoruffled more. I don't think he was shuffling more because he liked the locker room more

or him and Francisco Lindor broke bread. I think he just felt better at the plate. And so what I would

argue to any buffoon who says, Juan Soto didn't shuffle last year, Juan Soto hated being a New York

Matt, you weren't paying attention for the full season.

Because as his season got better, obviously the team season didn't get better, but his season got better, and he got more comfortable at the plate, he shuffled a lot.

Yeah, of course he did.

Because he was playing great.

So if you're suggesting that Juan Soto is miserable as a MET, and I'm not really talking about anyone in particular, there's no one that I'm thinking of who would actually utter that phrase. Welcome to hell! You're just, you're misinformed. Does it concern you, though, Evan, that he did most of his shuffling when the Mets were losing games? See, I knew you would say that. Maybe more of a me guy, not a wee guy.

I think that it's about how he feels at the plate. I do. And yes, I think he wants to win. I think he also wants to perform. But in baseball, you can only control what you can control. So it doesn't mean he's having the greatest time in the world. It means I got a confidence. I spit on that pitch because I know it was off the plate.
