Now, before we make a start on your emails, let's have a recap of what happened this week in Ambridge.

We began the week with Brian trying to worm his way into Miranda's

good books, which took some worming. Unbelievably, Miranda said she didn't want to give up on Brian.

I'd have given up on him the second he'd bleated, I can't do it! And taken him to court for emotional

damages, I think. Repeated forced exposure to packing tape or something.

Anyway, Brian's opening gambit as a rapprochmore was lunch.

It's going to take more than for foreking out for the Chateaubrianda to saunt around the cheeseboard, Brian. Believe me.

One of the things it didn't take for Miranda was a hack with Lillian.

I don't know what was going on with the coconutting, but I think I counted about 12 sets of hooves, all going at quite a fast pace.

Had they just bunged an effect of the household cavalry in when it was just the two of them plodding through the country park?

Lillian said her mantra was, never go back, but you can try it with his brother.

Their chat was interrupted by Oliver being thrown off a duke, which hasn't happened to him since boarding school.

Oliver and Miranda had a lovely chat and sounded much more of a suitable couple than Miranda and Brian.

I'm staggered that Miranda didn't know about Brian's indiscretions, as Oliver referred to them.

Surely he had his own column in Borchester Life called Old Legover or something.

Tom seemed to think that just because Helen was moving out, she'd still be available as a

full-time babysitter. Natasha said it had indeed been lush, just being able to pop out whenever
