0:14.1	The title of my message today is Palm Sunday, the journey to the cross.
0:21.4	The journey to the cross. The Journey to the Cross.
0:23.5	And we're at John chapter 12.
0:25.6	Today again, we're going to start in verse 9 in a moment.
0:31.4	But the passage of scripture that we're going to read today is about Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
0:39.6	It's one of the few incidents in Jesus' life that was reported in all four of the Gospels.
0:45.7	And it marks the beginning of his journey to the cross.
0:49.7	And throughout his three-year ministry, we often hear Jesus say that his time had not yet come.
0:55.6	You remember when his mother tried to get him to turn the water,
0:58.4	to do something about the lack of wine that they had at the family festival, the wedding.
1:04.2	He said, woman, my time has not yet come.
1:06.2	I'm not ready for that.
1:07.3	And there were times where he told him, keep silent about the miracles,
1:10.6	because his time had not yet come. But this was different. This time Jesus would allow the people
1:17.3	to praise him publicly. This was the day that he would make his triumphant entry into the city
1:23.3	of Jerusalem. And the church calls this day all around the world, Palm Sunday, because of the palms that
1:30.2	were waved by the people as Jesus rode into the city on the back of a donkey.
1:35.2	It was a turning point.
1:37.2	And when he enters into Jerusalem, Jesus begins this journey to the cross that we're going
