He created enough of a rock cast that Gavin Newsom has turned tail and he has abandoned

his third and final attempt to disrupt the repeal of Prop 47.

That ballot initiative to rewrite Prop 47 is we're going to get to vote it on in November. It's going to be on the ballot

and nothing is going to get in the way. At first, he tried to browbeat and bully the California

District Attorney's Association into rewriting it as if you could bully the district attorneys.

Well, maybe Gascon, you could bully, but not the rest of them.

Secondly, he tried a complicated package of retail theft bills that included poison pills to derail the repeal of Prop 47.

That failed. Thirdly, he tried to get a separate proposition put on the ballot, again, with poison pills that would interfere with our repeal of Prop 47.

That failed because he handled it badly, blew through deadlines, had to get a two-thirds majority because of the blown deadlines, and couldn't get the Democrats and the legislature to agree.

You had left-wing denip crats who didn't want 47 touched in any way, and then you had moderate

Democrats who do this was a dirty, sleazy, disgusting move, and they were going to pay

the price in November.

Old fashioned pressure from voters, and it worked. Whatever you did, phone calls, emails,

it worked, it scared off enough Democrats. Newsom threw in the towel late last night. And then

he flew to Washington, D.C. to administer the last rights to Joe Biden.

I tell you, if Biden suddenly disappears, I'd look at Newsom, suspect number one.

That is one ambitious SOB, I'll tell you, he really is.

And so he's going to try to skulk up to Biden and say, Joe, Joe, I'm here for you. But you know, a friend of mine described

what Newsom's like. Like Newsom is the guy who comforts your girlfriend after a fight, and then
