You went to this news conference today.

The Service Employees International Union and the Rooseveltvelt institute and they wanted to set the record

straight about what happens when you jack up minimum wage by 25% to 20 dollars an hour go ahead

tell me what they were saying sure this is of course about the big day today for more than a half

a million fast food workers across California. Yeah, who got a

significant raise today if they were making the previous minimum, which was 16 and as of today is now

$20. 25% raise. You ever get a 25% raise? Well, I hope to be so lucky someday, but this was something

that the legislature did in response to organized labor within the fast food industry.

You'll recall last year, a lot of fast food workers said we've had enough of what our wages are and we want to make more.
