In 2019, we released the story of the Jenkins County Jane Doe as a two-part series, covering

a lot of ground and touching on many social issues.

When we remastered our season four cases, we wanted to tighten the narrative of our story.

Mostly because of few details from other cases seemed to get mixed in with hers, as it

was retold in other places.

So, we've streamlined the telling here, and we've included never-before-heard interview

clips from our original visit with the GBI's Region Four office.

After our visit, we were told that a number of tips and leads came in, including one that

indicated that the Jenkins County Jane Doe may have been a woman who came into town on

a Greyhound bus from the West Coast.

Special Agent in charge, John Darden, has since retired from the GBI, and Special Agent

We're still awaiting more news regarding viable testing options.

We're especially hopeful that a blood card might be used, as they've proven to be strong

contenders in cases where little evidence is available.

as the Jenkins County Jane Doe has been identified.
