Summary

Get your FREE Knot Guide here! — https://bit.ly/3UnAeIP The Jansik Special is a popular fishing knot used for tying a hook or lure to a fishing line. It's known for its simplicity and strength, making it a favorite among anglers. Here's how to tie the Jansik Special: 1)Pass Line Through Eye: Begin by passing the end of the fishing line through the eye of the hook or lure. 2) Create a Loop: Form a small loop by bringing the tag end of the line back towards the standing line, leaving a small amount of tag end sticking out. 3) Wrap Around Both Lines: Hold the loop with one hand and use the tag end to make 3 to 5 wraps around both the standing line and the loop. Ensure that the wraps are snug and closely spaced. 4) Pass Through Loop: After completing the wraps, pass the tag end through the loop formed at the base of the wraps. 5) Tighten: Carefully pull both the main line and the tag end simultaneously to cinch the knot down tightly against the eye of the hook or lure. 6) Trim Excess: Once the knot is tightened securely, trim the excess tag end close to the knot using scissors or a line cutter. 7) Inspect: After tying the knot, inspect it closely to ensure that all wraps are tight, and the knot is properly seated against the eye of the hook or lure. The Jansik Special is valued for its simplicity and reliability, making it suitable for various fishing applications. Practice tying the Jansik Special a few times to become proficient, and you'll have a dependable knot for your fishing adventures. How2Tuesday is presented by Danco Pliers! This is the Jan-Sick special. I just learned it myself. Very compact knot. You go through the eye one time, go through the eye a second time, and then put it through the eye a third time.

So the Janusic Special is a knot that I don't tie. I just learned how to tie it.

1:55.8

It's a very compact knot. We tied this with 15 pound J Floro as we've done with all the different knots that we tie here and the Jansick special broke at 12.35, 11.08, and 10.83 for a 76.13% breaking strength, which I don't know. Is that strong?

2:20.0

I don't think so. You can see exactly how strong that is compared to all the other knots we tie
