Last night, it was official.

Cooper Flag is a Dallas Maverick.

And I don't know if you saw this on social media, but there were a few, it felt,

leading up to the draft that they're going to screwed up.

Nico's going to trade the pick.

Nico's going to draft somebody else.

I always thought 100% it's going to be Cooper Flagg.

And last night that came true, of course.

Yeah, I don't think it was just a few either.

There still seems to be a significant portion of the fan base that is still extremely upset.

And, you know, some of it's probably somewhat performative and somewhat like, oh, I said this four or five months ago, I'm going to

stick to my guns and being just kind of, you know, I guess I respect that, that you

decided one thing and you're sticking to it, but I feel like it's a little bit of a deprivation.

Like if you're not going to switch basketball teams and you've just decided that my, the way that I'm

going to consume basketball now is to hate this franchise and hate everybody that's involved

with it, I can't, I can't co-sign that at all. I'm still not, I'm still, I still feel very

weird about the whole situation. But the reality is that Nico is here,

Patrick Dumont is here,

and they're going to be here for the foreseeable future,

and we did just get this gift.

If the gift didn't come,

I'd probably feel pretty crappy about the Mavericks today.
